About me

I have been eating as long as I can remember… longer, actually.

Therefore, it only seems natural that I became interested in the derivation, preparation and serving of food. I believe food reflects a history of time, place and people. We should do ourselves by slowing down and savoring that history as we savor the food.

While I have no formal training in the culinary arts, I have a keen interest in the connection between food and culture. 

What I know about cooking and food comes from a lifetime of watching relatives prepare meals, observing TV chefs, reading and, of course, eating. From the French Chef and the Galloping Gourmet to Grand Mom’s kitchen and Uncle Bob’s luncheonette, I have absorbed hints on taste and technique.

I am a proud native of Trenton, NJ where I reside with my wife and two dogs.
